Green Coco Lim Inc. is the beginning and end of coconut mats.
In 2011, Green Coco Lim Inc., the Korean company, started producing coco peat and coconut fiber in Tra Vinh and Ben Tre, the largest coconut forest areas in Vietnam.
We began manufacturing after receiving a request to develop a coconut mat, but there were difficulties in matching the quality and composition.
The CEO Cho Young Hee, who has been in the clothing industry for 40 years, used her experience to perfect the finish and shape of the palm mat. This technology spread to subcontractors throughout Ben Tre and Tra Vinh inVietnam.
Rather than defining this as plagiarism and suppressing it, we have led the industry so far with the belief that we will foster the food industry of Vietnamese farmers.
Due to the indiscriminate operation and competition of Vietnamese traders, the local economy has been thrown into jeopardy due to the unpaid status of many traders’ subcontractors and home crafts persons. Not only that, but the quality tends to fall to the bottom as farmers try to make up for it. Intermediaries who cannot properly check the quality of goods due to their volume and weight are inundated with returns from final consumers.
Accordingly, the local national broadcaster covered Green Coco Lim Inc. heavily in the news even though it is a foreign company.
The CEO Cho said “Thank you for recognizing Green Cocolim’s efforts to consider both the buyers and end the consumers, and mostly the Vietnamese workers and farmers.”
